This week’s photo challenge is about perspective: Post a photo which is not what it seems to be.
A little background about my post:
I think a pine tree is one of the most beautiful trees on our earth. Whether in the southern U.S., in a New Hampshire forest, or on a Norwegian mountain, they speak of strength and flexibility at the same time, and are one of my favorite views here in Norway (especially when they’re covered in snow).
So …. my photo. In a sunny spot on Ulvenfjellet during a hike a week ago, I found this new, bright green growth …
… on a Norwegian pine tree, or ….?!
Nope. Not a pine tree!
My limited research names this moss growing in a *very* wet flat area of my hike the “Hairy Cup/Hair Cap” moss (I’ve seen it listed both ways) – but if you have better information, I’d enjoy learning it!
(Here is where this part of the world is located on the map.)
