Continuing our day tours of the Southern Germany/Austria area, here we are on the Zugspitze – the highest mountain in Germany – with our friend Kay and her little one Steffi. (I think the photo was taken by “Chief,” Steffi’s daddy and our Commander.)
When we mailed (snail mail, of course) this image to my parents, my Mom said her initial reaction was one of horror – how could we be standing so close to the edge with those babies?!
Almost thirty years later, I’m looking at it from the perspective of being a Grandma. Ummm, what were we thinking? I sure understand her emotions and reaction a lot better now!
Here’s a rare one of just me. If David wasn’t holding our Abby, I usually was … we loved being new parents!
